At the invitation of His Majesty the King, the Republic of Finland's newly elected president, Alexander Stubb, is making a state visit to Sweden. The visit started yesterday in Stockholm and continues today, Wednesday April 24, to the west coast, where the University of Gothenburg is the first stop.

The Swedish royal couple and the Finnish presidential couple are welcomed by, among others, Vice-Chancellor Malin Broberg to Gothenburg and Vasaparken during the morning.

President Alexander Stubb will give a speech in the auditorium and discuss with invited students. The theme of the speech is the new world order and an era of disorder.

For this reason, only invited guests will have access to the university’s main building in Vasaparken between 7:30 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 24.
