About

In this course you will explore different ways of managing changes to the built environment from a conservation perspective. You will learn basic concepts and theoretical issues in the field of conservation, and how these concepts are applied in practice. Approaches are examined both from a historical perspective and from contemporary conservation strategies. This is discussed from the perspective of how society's changing needs and demands affect conservation, and how the conservation profession can relate to this.

The course is open to students from diverse educational backgrounds and the course deploys interdisciplinary approaches. The case-based teaching combines lectures and seminars with fieldwork and study visits.
