Om ASSQ
ASSQ (Autism Spectrum Screening Questionnaire) är ett screeningformulär för autism som utvecklades av Ehlers och Gillberg och vidareutvecklades i samarbete med Lorna Wing i syfte att studera förekomst av Aspergers Syndrom. Det har sedan dess blivit ett av de mest utbrett använda autismscreening-verktygen i världen.

Hur beräknas ASSQ?
ASSQ innehåller 27 frågor/påståenden. Skattningen utgörs av en likertskala med svarsalternativen ”stämmer inte” (0 poäng), ”stämmer i viss mån” (1 poäng) och ”stämmer definitivt” (2 poäng). Poängen adderas ihop till en totalsumma (max 54).
Psykometriska egenskaper
Studier har rapporterat test-retest-reliabiliteten för lärarskattningar mellan 0,90 och 0,94 (Ehlers och Gillberg 1993; Ehlers et al 1999) och för föräldraskattningar på 0,96 samt interbedömarreliabilitet mellan föräldrar och lärare på 0,79 (Ehlers och Gillberg, 1993). I fråga om validitet rapporteras i en norsk studie en sensitivitet på 0,91 och specificitet på 0.86 när man använde gränsvärde på 17 eller över (Posserud et al 2009)
Hur används ASSQ?
Rekommenderade gränsvärden varierar något från beroende på land, huruvida föräldrar eller lärare används som informanter och beroende på huruvida man vill ha hög sensitivitet, specificitet, eller både och. I Sverige används 15 poäng som gränsvärde för en icke-klinisk population och 19 poäng för en klinisk population.
En förlängd version (ASSQ-REV) har utvecklats med syftet att tidigare kunna identifiera flickor med autism.
